Pelvic Floor & Menopause lifestyle specialist

Karin Histon MSc.PT., is a forward thinking internationally recognized Physiotherapist who aims to revolutionize exercise, nutrition and performance for women specifically through the (peri)menopause transition and beyond.

She has over 20 years of direct clinical experience and is highly sought after by active women for complex musculoskeletal and pelvic health problems. As an athlete, she has competed in running, x-country skiing, telemark skiing, climbing and mountaineering events in both the Canadian Rockies and Swiss Alps, she has a solid understanding of the needs of the active female population, including the complexities of pelvic floor having suffered postpartum. Having overcome injury and her own pelvic floor prolapse, she now provides unique and scientifically efficacious treatment helping women get back to active living.

Through her 2 decades of experience, she saw a huge gap in menopause care. As a still relatively taboo topic, clinician and medical knowledge, training and scientific evidence for women moving through the menopause transition is weak. Determined to fill the gap, she has developed a wholistic Menopause RoadMap program aimed at the pillars of health including education, nutrition, exercise and mindset, and awareness around Hormone Therapy wrapped into community support so that her patients continue to feel strong and fit throughout their lives.

Her contributions to rehabilitation health include both women and men with a focus on the recreational, nationally trained, olympic, and masters level athlete.

  • She has owned 5 multidisciplinary clinics which provided integrative health services including, physiotherapy, chiropractors, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine, psychology and Sport medicine.
